Salem Swampscott Youth Hockey

Salem Swampscott Youth Hockey is a nonprofit, community-based youth hockey organization serving families throughout Salem, Swampscott, and the surrounding North Shore. Our mission is to provide a safe, positive, and development-focused environment where children can learn to skate, play hockey, and grow as athletes and individuals.Our programs are entirely volunteer-run and supported by dedicated families, coaches, and players who believe youth sports should be accessible, encouraging, and fun. From our Learn to Skate program to our youth hockey teams, we focus on building confidence, sportsmanship, and teamwork at every level.We proudly follow the American Development Model (ADM), emphasizing age-appropriate instruction, skill development, and enjoyment of the game. Through creative teaching methods — including games, bubbles, and player mentorship — we help skaters build strong fundamentals while fostering a love for the ice.At the Blades, hockey is more than a sport. It’s a community, a foundation for growth, and a place where kids and families come together.
